I have not paid yet, what are the next steps?

If you have upload the documents correctly and you received an email saying that your application has been approved, you can proceed with the payment.

After validation of your data and the payment made, your card will be issued and you will receive an email with your card details.

Why hasn't my application been approved yet?

There are several reasons why we don't approve your card application, for example:

• The photo does not meet the requirements for issuing an identification card;
• The student/teacher's proof submitted is not up to date or does not have the necessary elements;
• The data of your proof of birth date is not visible;
• Uploaded files do not open.

I have already paid and I have not received any email or my card. What should I do?

The treatment and printing of your card takes place on the business day we receive your payment, within our opening hours, provided that the payment is identified in our bank account by 3:00 pm.

However, we always suggest that you check your spam box to check if you have not received the email with your new card details or any communication from ISIC Portugal.

If you have requested a plastic card, paid for it and have not yet received it at your address, we ask you to check the email we sent you with the tracking code and contact CTT for more information about the shipping of your card.

I applied for a virtual card, but now I want to receive a plastic card, how should I proceed?

To receive your plastic card, we ask you to make a bank transfer of the shipping costs to our IBAN PT50 0035 0127 00057215130 54 and send us an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the following details:

• Proof of payment of the amount of shipping costs (Simple Registered Mail - 2,35€ / CTT Expresso - 8,27€);
• Shipping address (we only send to addresses in Portugal);
• Identification of the card you want to receive (cardholder name and/or card number).

There are several reasons why we haven't issued your card, for example:

• Your institution has not yet approved your card application;
• For some reason your institution has not approved your card application;
• The photo does not meet the requirements for issuing an identification card;
• The data of your proof of birth date is not visible;
• Uploaded files do not open.

I have my virtual card, but I want to receive a plastic card, how should I proceed?

The agreement established with your School only includes the issuance of virtual cards, so we cannot issue you a plastic card.
