CAN I APPLY FOR AN IYTC CARD?
The International Youth Travel Card is aimed at all young people up to and including the age of 30.
HOW DO I GET MY IYTC CARD?
The quickest and cheapest way to get your card is through this website, with the Online Card Application form:
- Fill in your personal details.
- Upload the requested documents .
- Select the type of delivery and enjoy your IYTC card!
In a few minutes you can enjoy your Virtual Card and, if you order the physical version of the card, it will arrive at your address in a few days.
WHAT DO I NEED TO GET THE IYTC CARD?
To apply for the IYTC card we will ask you for some personal details (first and last name, date of birth, email and address). In addition to these details, you must also upload the following documents in digital format:
- Proof of your date of birth (ID, Citizen Card or Passport);
- Passport photo – jpeg format, face photo, in color, with a neutral background and no accessories covering your face.
To issue your card in Portugal we need proof that you are Portuguese or that you live in Portugal.
HOW MUCH DOES AN IYTC CARD COST?
In Portugal, the cost of the virtual version of the IYTC card is 10 euros. If you would prefer to receive your IYTC card in physical format, you will have to pay the shipping costs, which are additional depending on the type of shipment requested.
HOW LONG IS AN IYTC CARD VALID FOR?
The IYTC is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
HOW CAN I PAY MY IYTC CARD?
When you’ve finished registering, don’t forget to pay for your card.
You can pay in three ways:
– Multibanco (Bank Reference);
– Credit card;
– Bank Transfer – If you choose to make a bank transfer, in order to make your card order effective you need to send an email to pagamentos@isic.pt or submit the following data in “My Card”:
- Proof of payment;
- Name of the payment account holder.

The IYTC is issued as soon as all the necessary documents have been submitted and as soon as the payment has been identified in our account, which, depending on the bank, can take between 1 and 2 working days.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY IYTC CARD?
We have different shipping methods, with different times and costs:
- Virtual format, less than 24 working hours.
- Simple registered mail, delivery in 2-3 working days, to addresses in mainland Portugal and the islands.
IMPORTANT: Your card will be processed and printed on the working day we receive your payment, within our opening hours, as long as the payment is identified in our account by 15:00.
Please make sure you enter all the information and your full address correctly, including door number and floor. If there are any problems with your registration, please contact us immediately. If you do not inform us, we will process incorrect data and your card will be issued and your order will be non-refundable.
