Almaa Sintra Hostel is a retreat center and a Eco Hostel located in the heart of Serra de Sintra and classified, by UNESCO, as World Heritage.
They are located in a property considered one of the oldest in Sintra, dated of the twelfth century, with 3.5 hectares of lush gardens and offers private and shared rooms in a heavenly environment. The Hostel was named “Almaa” which means “water” in Arabic, due to the influence of the Moors in the region and also for the natural spring water that supplies the house and gardens. “Almaa” also means soul in Portuguese.
