XXI Crossfit
Crossfit is a training program based on functional exercises, performed in a variety of ways at a high intensity. It develops all motor skills (Strength, Endurance, Speed, Agility, Balance, Flexibility, Coordination, etc.), through 3 categories of exercises: Gymnastics, External Weight, and Metabolic Conditioning (Cardio).
The main equipment needed to practice CrossFit is your own body. But specific equipment is also used, such as Olympic bars and weights, kettlebells, weights and dumbbells, jump boxes, medicine balls, ropes, rings, elastic bands, tires, sleds, etc. The workouts are very varied, intense, short and fun, with visible results in a short space of time.
A typical CrossFit workout begins with a joint and muscle warm-up and cardio-respiratory activation. This is usually followed by a segment of strength training and/or specific technique, and ends with the workout of the day, which is a short challenge with a wide variety of exercises. Every day there is a new WOD and a new challenge to overcome.
The workouts are accompanied by certified professionals who will know each athlete’s goals, guarantee the technical correctness of the exercises, and the individualization necessary for the workout to be safe and challenging at the same time.
