The Body Shop was founded in 1976 by Anita Roddick in Littlehampton, England. It is a pioneering beauty brand in corporate activism and was created with the philosophy that a business can represent a positive impulse.

The Body Shop’s five core values are: forever against animal testing, trade with communities to boost their sustainability, promote self-esteem, defend human rights and protect our precious planet.

All The Body Shop products are made with the best ingredients sourced from the four corners of the world, are not tested on animals and are 100% vegetarian. Many of them vegan!

The Body Shop has over 2,800 stores in more than 60 countries. In Portugal there are 28 stores.
