Biscainhos Museum

The Biscainhos Museum is housed in the Biscainhos Palace – the home of the Counts of Bertiandos – founded in the 17th century and transformed in the first half of the 18th century. It was converted into a museum in 1978. The palace, the baroque gardens and its collections reveal the daily life of the 17th century nobility and the other inhabitants of the space: chaplains, servants and slaves.

The permanent exhibition provides a contextualized view of the collections of decorative arts (furniture, jewellery, ceramics, glass, textiles, metals, etc.), musical instruments, means of transport, engravings, sculpture/tiles, tiles and paintings from the 17th century to the first quarter of the 19th century.
